We are looking for two motivated people to join our Western Area team, which is responsible for implementing a wide range of countryside management activities.
As a Ranger you will be involved in developing new projects around landscape, biodiversity, promoting informal countryside recreation and ensuring community involvement to ensure the delivery of the South Downs Partnership Management Plan and key business outcomes.
With a good working knowledge of countryside management, you must be able to plan, organise and deliver projects and activities, including leading volunteer groups.
A strong team working ethic and well-developed negotiating and interpersonal skills are also essential to ensure you can work effectively with colleagues, partners and local communities to deliver organisational outcomes.
You will need to have a degree, or equivalent qualification in countryside or rural management and also some previous experience in this area of work.
