Ecologist - Midlands
Bowland Ecology is a well-established and thriving ecological consultancy. Due to continued growth, we are seeking to appoint an Ecologist. The role will be primarily home-based with most of the survey work taking place within the Midlands and Wales.

Scope of role:
- Manage own projects (including fee proposals and client liaison) and assist with the management of other projects as required
- Plan, coordinate and undertake habitat and protected species surveys
- Production of ecology reports, desk studies and plans, and data input, management and analysis
- Design and implementation of simple ecological mitigation schemes
- Pre-works inspections and site supervision of ecological/environmental mitigation (ECoW/EnvCoW)
- Supervision of Assistant Ecologists
Successful Candidates will:
- Have a relevant degree level qualification
- Have membership of CIEEM or equivalent
- Have minimum 3 years in practice experience
- Hold or be working towards one or more protected species license/s or (desirable, not essential)
